The Du Bois Orchestra Featuring, Xavier Foley

The Du Bois Orchestra Featuring, Xavier Foley

Presented by Du Bois Orchestra at The Longy School of Music

This program is supported in part by a grant from Cambridge Arts, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, as part of our winning the 2020 Art for Racial Justice Grant. Our mission is to, "use music to overcome social exclusion by elevating underrepresented voices in classical music through high-quality musical performance, education, and community engagement." We can do this by continuing to play repertoire that has been historically ignored, and amplifying the voices of BIPOC Artists.

Join us at 7pm ET for a Pre-concert lecture and Q&A.

The Du Bois Orchestra will be performing;

Ethiopia's Shadow in America, by Florence Price
Double Bass Concerto, Op.3, by Serge Koussevitzky, FEATURED SOLOIST: Xavier Foley, Double Bass
Symphony No. 8, by Antonin Dvorak
