Writers Read with HORROR WRITERS of Greater Lowell

Presented by lala books at lala books

It's the spookiest time of the year. We're all looking for a book to read under the covers, late at night, with a small light keeping us safe from the monsters. Meet six local authors as they read from their dark fantasy and horror books from 6-8 pm. Sample your options, ask them for autographs, and enjoy some frightening books just in time for Halloween! Authors include:

S.R. Marks, a librarian who writes in many genres. She loves writing horror books because it allows her to vent her frustrations with the world before she writes romance books. Her latest short story collection #RescueMe came out on September 1st.

Kameryn James, who grew up in Louisiana, where everything is haunted. She now writes short horror stories and novellas under the supervision of her cat overlord.

Rob Smales - When asked what he does, Rob tends to answer, “I write the words that occur to me at the time.” Facebook lists him as Dad, writer, editor, postal worker—in that order, and he hails from Salem, Massachusetts, where he works, writes, and, occasionally, sleeps.

Richard Hollman, who obtained his doctorate in Physics from Stanford University in 1983, and thereupon settled down to toil diligently in the electronics industry, which he continues to do.  He was inexorably drawn to writing science fiction by virtue of his proximity to the city of Lowell, Massachusetts.

S.E. Brunson, who  has always liked science fiction and fantasy. Two liberal arts degrees later, one wedding, working as a freelance editor, she's at a place where she's publishing for herself.

Dale T. Philips, who once competed on Jeopardy and lost in a spectacular fashion. He has also published more than 70 short stories, collections, poetry, and non-fiction.
