About the Ignite Event

Date & Time: Saturday, October 2 from 6-10pm (RD Sunday, October 3)

Location: Union Square Plaza

To celebrate Union Square’s sizzling food landscape we bring you: the IGNITE Festival! Expect an evening of international eats, fire throwers, roving entertainment, and a raucous celebration of global culture.

In addition to many local food vendors, there will be interactive light installations, numerous illuminated performers and to top it all off, FIRE! Local eateries throughout the Square will be featuring Ignite themed specials.

Beyond the global grazing opportunities, an all-female mariachi band will heat things up and the Branches Steel Orchestra will get the crowd moving with electrifying rhythms. There will be dance performances—from Nepali Maruni to Arabian belly dancing and the night will close out with the Boston Circus Guild’s fire performance! There will also be light projections, installations, and many other performers. And don’t miss the Tiger head photo booth and numerous activities.
