National Recovery Month: Author Talk with Patrick Radden Keefe

An in-person conversation with Patrick Radden Keefe and moderator Christopher Lydon will take place Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Old South Church in Boston (at the corner of Dartmouth and Boylston Streets at the Copley MBTA station). The event will also be livestreamed.

"Empire of Pain" is a grand, devastating portrait of three generations of the Sackler family, famed for their philanthropy, whose fortune was built by Valium and whose reputation was destroyed by OxyContin. From the prize-winning and bestselling author of "Say Nothing", as featured in the HBO documentary, "Crime of the Century".

Books will be made available on site by Trident Booksellers.
