WDtS: Plotting the Timeline in Your Short Stories

WDtS: Plotting the Timeline in Your Short Stories

Presented by GrubStreet at Online/Virtual Space

A story's timeline is key to creating a strong plot. In this session, we will engage in a hands-on activity that will assist us to plot the events in a short story in progress or a scene in a longer piece. Our goal is to tighten the pace of events, develop characters, and define the plot. Bring a copy of a work in progress, sticky notes, index cards, or anything that will help to create a visual timeline of your story. Beginning and experienced writers are all welcome. Everyone will get some creative ideas from spending this writing time together.
