Beaver Brook's 40th Annual Fall Festival and Nature Art Show

Beaver Brook Association invites the public to the 40th Annual Fall Festival & Nature Art Show.  Artwork by dozens of regional artists will be on display in the historic Maple Hill Barn September 25th and 26th  from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm at 117 Ridge Road in  Hollis, NH.  The featured artist this year is Robert "Bob" Heyer.

During the two-day festival there will be many opportunities to get up close and personal with animals and nature.  On Saturday, Julie Collier and Jim Parks of Wingmasters will present “Live Birds of Prey” at 1:00 and 3:00 pm. On Sunday at 11:00 am Wildlife Encounters offers a live animal show featuring a selection of amazing animals that you may never have encountered before.  https://www.weecocenter.com/

Eyes on Owls will have presentations on Sunday at 1:00 and 3:00 pm.  Everyone will learn tips on how to attract and protect owls near you and learn how to hoot.  While the selection of live owls varies, chances are you will meet New England’s tiniest owl, the Northern Saw-Whet Owl (weighing in at 4 ounces) along with the world’s largest owl, the Eurasian Eagle Owl (check out that five foot wingspan!).  Other species that figure prominently in this program include Eastern Screech Owl, Barred Owl, Barn Owl, Great-horned Owl, Snowy Owl and Spectacled Owl.  For more information visit their website www.eyesonowls.com

The Carriage Shack Farm from Londonderry NH will be hosting its petting farm both days. They offer an opportunity for everyone to learn, interact with and enjoy the adorable assortment of clean, friendly farm animals such as potbelly pig, rabbits, ducks, etc. Check out their website www.carriageshackfarm.com.

New this year will be performances by Flying Gravity Circus at 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Beaver Brook is calling for artists to make this event special.  All original artwork by both amateurs and professionals is eligible.  The accent of the artwork should be on New England settings but art reflecting a nature theme elsewhere in North America may be included.  Beaver Brook will be accepting artwork from September 17 – September 20.  If you are interested in displaying your work at the Fall Festival all rules, details and entry forms can be accessed at Fall Festival - Beaver Brook Association.  There will also be a children’s art exhibit in the historic Cooper Shed and we encourage children of all age groups to submit their work.
