The stars of the iconic 1973 film Jesus Christ Superstar are headed to The Regent Theatre in Arlington for 3 nights of liquid rock history on stage and on the screen.
The Regent Theatre will present rock opera superstars Yvonne Elliman & Ted Neeley, in concert, performing their biggest hits--and backed by a dynamic band of all-star Boston musicians. The shows will rock out The Regent on Friday and Saturday, September 17 and 18 at 8 pm; doors open at 7:00 pm.

In conjunction with these performances, the two stars will also host a screening of the new digitally remastered version of the historic 1973 film, Jesus Christ Superstar on Sunday, September 19, at 6 pm.

Ted Neeley is a singer, actor, musician, composer and record producer. He is known for his portrayal of the title role of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, a role for which he was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards.
Neeley considers himself a baritone but he is renowned for his extremely wide vocal range and rock screams--notably the G above high C in "Gethsemane (I Only Want to Say)" from Jesus Christ Superstar!
Yvonne Elliman was born in Hawaii. A singer, songwriter and actress who performed for four years in the first cast of the stage musical Jesus Christ Superstar, she also scored a number of pop hits in the 1970s and achieved a U.S. #1 disco hit with "If I Can't Have You" which reached #9 on the Adult Contemporary charts. In addition, her cover of Barbara Lewis's "Hello Stranger" went to #1 on the Adult Contemporary charts and "Love Me" was also #5, giving her 3 top 10 singles.
