Tuition: $90
Materials fee: $40 Directly payable to the instructor at the beginning of the class
Description: Learn fundamental techniques for designing and fabricating a sterling-silver textured band ring. You’ll receive step-by-step instructions in texturing, filing, forming, soldering, sanding, and polishing your ring. All materials will be provided, including; sterling silver, copper for practicing, sandpaper, and sterling and copper findings.

About the instructor: Laurie Savage received a BFA in metalsmithing from MassArt in 1998. She has taught the jewelry program at Cambridge Center for Adult Education since 1999, and metalsmithing workshops at Haystack, the DeCordova Museum School, Motherbrook Arts Community, Arlington Community Education and LEXArt. She maintains a studio in the Distillery Building in South Boston, and her work is available by commission.
The registration fee for this class is $90.
The materials fee is $40 paid to the instructor at the beginning of the class.
