Presented by Fisherman's Feast of Boston, Inc. at North & Lewis Street

The Fisherman’s Feast will find Greater Boston’s best meatball during their 3rd Annual Meatball Competition on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Happening at their 111th Annual Feast, Greater Boston restaurants will compete with the hopes of winning ‘Greater Boston’s Best Meatball’. Competing restaurants will include Prince Pizzeria, Floramo’s, Gennaro's Eatery, Cantina Italiana, Table, Strega, and Nando Ristorante Enoteca.

For an entrance fee of $5, attendees will judge each meatball on taste alone to see which meatball wins the People’s Choice Award. There will also be a Judges’ Round where the judges will taste all meatballs and then collectively decide who the Judges’ Choice Winner is for the Best Meatball. Judges will include returning judge Dan Andelman, and two local Master Chef contestants. The judges will grade the meatballs on quality, texture, and taste. The winner will be presented with the Greater Boston’s Fisherman’s Feast Judge’s Choice Award.

The event will open to the public at 3 PM and the winner will be announced at 6 PM that evening.

About The Fisherman’s Feast

The Fisherman's Feast is an annual event that began in Boston in 1910 and is based on a tradition that goes back to the 16th century in Sciacca Sicily. The Feast is based on the devotion of the fishermen from Sciacca to the Madonna del Soccorso (Our Lady of Help). Each August since 1910, the Feast has been held in Boston's historic North End on North and Fleet Streets, making it Greater Boston’s oldest continuously running Italian festival. The Feast traditionally starts on Thursday when the statue of the Madonna is moved from her home in the Fisherman's Club to a chapel at the center of the feast. This will be her home throughout the weekend. Each night and during weekend days there is entertainment on the bandstand and vendors selling food as well as crafts. The Feast culminates on Sunday night with the spectacular "Flight of the Angel". For more information, please visit www.fishermansfeast.com.
