Live puppet shows are BACK this summer with a FREE outdoor series exploring Brookline’s beautiful neighborhoods, parks, and community spaces. Specially designed for families to safely gather, these shows feature a wide variety of puppetry styles with safe-distanced seating in open-air locations. RSVP to reserve your spot!

Join Bugsy, a bug with a keen eye for talent and a love of the stage, as he co-hosts a musical variety show filled with larger-than-life characters. Audiences will love Pumpernickel Puppets' newest production which features friends old and new created by fan-favorite puppeteer John McDonough. Specially designed for outdoor audiences, this interactive show will have you dancing along with everyone from hand and string puppets to oversize walkaround characters. Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Our series continues in late summer with evening performances at Brookline Place in Brookline Village, directly across the street from Puppet Showplace Theater. Reservations for these performances will open in August.

Rain Cancellations: In the event of rain, performances will be cancelled and an announcement will be placed on the Puppet Showplace website 2 hours before the event. “The Bella Show” at the Babcock Street Tent will take place rain or shine.
