Grown-ups of all ages, artistic abilities and inclinations are welcome to Minni Design + Wine – Dyeing Natural Fibers, an evening of wine sipping and hand-dyeing using fiber reactive dye. Instructor Caroline will show participants how to skillfully dip-dye mesh totes and bind tea towels to create a range of unique bright patterns perfect for spring and summer. All steps of the dyeing process will be clearly explained; all participants will be encouraged to unwind and enjoy.
About Caroline
Caroline is a DC native who has also lived in both New York and Texas, where she studied Elementary Education and received her Montessori training before settling in Cambridge. A lifelong crafter, Caroline has been knitting, crocheting, drawing, and sewing since she was a young child, but loves to experiment with any visual arts medium. She enjoys incorporating visual arts into her classroom, from illustrating stories to mindful weaving practices. When she is not teaching elementary school, Caroline can be found designing her handmade wardrobe or creating toys for her friends. She encourages her students to take risks and use art as a form of expression.
