RUMBARROCO invites you to celebrate Simon Bolivar's birthday with music, Carolicious Venezuelan Food's treats, and the continuation of our humanitarian & educational campaign for Venezuela. We have partnered with Venus Service express to guarantee delivery of our campaign to Venezuela.

Special guests includes award winning Leo Blanco and his trio. In addition, our popular Venezuelan singer Carlos Regalado will lead us in a sing along of Venezuelan songs. Rumbarroco’s ensemble will include Cuban raising start soprano Adriana Ruiz, beloved Mezzo-soprano Daniela Tosic, virtuoso harpist Eduardo Betancourt, Colombian percussionist Ricky Matute, our usual collaborators Na’ama Lion on flute and Lisa Brook on violin, together with director Laury Gutierrez from Venezuela, on guitars and viola da gamba.

Tickets, $10, 20, $35. All proceeds will go to our current educational campaign.

The needs in Venezuela are many. At this time we have decided to focus our efforts in supporting the following:

To send musicians in different regions of Venezuela much needed replacement strings for their instruments.

A childcare center for 45 kids from 1 to 4 years old in Caracas. They need schools supplies like such as notebooks, pencils, paints, brushes, glue, markers, etc.

A Foundation in Caracas that connects graphic design with social justice: training and jobs for senior citizens to produce a huggable doll for children at the local children's hospital caring for low income families.

A project in a rural area of Estado Miranda to provide school supplies for a rural school with 327 students.

A foundation in the region of Los Andes region that empowers a group of youths to produce podcasts which are transmitted through their local rural radio station once a week.

Finally, we are aiming to collect used laptops and tablets to support educational efforts carried out by foundations we work with.
