Join us for Windhover's first Latin Dance Social event, featuring dancers and instructors from MetaMovements Latin Dance Company. The event starts with a Latin Dance lesson intensive at 3:30 followed by a Latin Dance Party at 7pm, all happening on our outdoor stage and outdoor dance floor! Come for lessons, the dance party, or both!

Latin Dance Intensive: 3:30-5:30pm
MetaMovements’ instructors will demystify Latin Dance styles — Salsa, Casino, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha and Merengue. Beginners will train in basic steps both on their own and with partners. Experienced dancers will practice more advanced steps for footwork and partner work, as well as learn additional techniques to improve their body movement, posture, frame, and spinning.

No partner needed. No high heels please. All levels welcome (separate instructors will be available for beginner to advanced students).

Latin Dance Party: 7:00-10pm
MetaMovements invites you to dance the night away to the rhythms of Latin Dance & Music in a beautiful outdoor space. Beginner & experienced dance instruction will be provided at 7pm. Absolutely no experience is required. Bring comfortable shoes.

After the complimentary lesson, the dance floor will be open for dancers of all ages and levels! Throughout the evening there will be special demonstrations and performances — as well as fun line and group dances for everyone to join in! Between dances, participants can relax under the trees with a beer or wine from the concession stand.

To keep the event safe for our participants, artists, and staff, all attendees must provide proof of full vaccination. To expedite entry to the event, we recommend uploading proof of vaccination (photo of vaccination card) when purchasing tickets in advance. You may upload your information HERE or at the ticketing site.  If you are unable to upload proof of vaccination, you will be required to show your vaccination card to enter. Masks not required but suggested for those choosing to rotate partners.

An open-air tent shelters the stage and dance floor for this event. Event happens rain or shine.
