"Reflecting on our Pandemic Experience" Artist Event

Presented by Arts Arlington at Menotomy Rocks Park

Meet the Town of Arlington's spring Artist-in-Residence Nilou Moochhala on-site at her outdoors public art installation in Menotomy Rocks Park (approx. park location here).

Hear about her fascinating project -- over a year in the making -- exploring the impact of the pandemic. She will be by the installation on Thursday June 17 from 5 to 7 pm and Saturday/Sunday June 19/20 from 10 am to noon.

The installation consists of 100 meditation flags printed from her abstract drawings; half were created during her daily practice during the pandemic, and half were made in response to interviews with diverse Arlingtonians, from the Town Manager to front line workers. Suspended in the trees, the flags have formed an inviting space in the pine forest for contemplation and healing.

Entitled “Reflecting On Our Pandemic Experience”, the installation is sponsored by the Arlington Commission for Arts & Culture and will be up through the summer.
