Presented by Leventhal Map & Education Center at Online/Virtual Space

Be sure to join Norman B. Leventhal Map and Education Center’s Curator of Maps and Director of Geographic Scholarship Garrett Dash Nelson on Wed., May 19 at 12 noon EDT for a virtual discussion with guest speaker Dr. Luis Alvarez León, Ph.D. on how maps and other geographic data underpin the digital economy. This discussion is part of the Leventhal’s virtual conversation series “Angles on Bending Lines: How Data Can Warp Our World,” which centers on the biases and distortions that lurk within data sets and are reflected in the results and policies they often inform. This event is free to the public and streamed live on the Leventhal’s YouTube and Facebook channels. Registration and more information are available here.
