Write a Neighborhood Haiku: Streets and Shops

Write a Neighborhood Haiku: Streets and Shops

Presented by Arts Arlington and Arlington Community Media Inc. and Robbins Library at Arlington Town Hall

VIA ZOOM: Join poet Jessie Brown for a fun and interactive workshop focused on writing haiku to celebrate “Main Street” – the diverse ecosystem of small businesses along Mass Ave. and other areas in Arlington Heights. Notice the sounds, colors, aromas. What catches your eye in a storefront window? Or on a crowded shelf inside? What’s your favorite story about a shop owner – real or imagined?
Selected poems will be painted in storefront windows in Arlington Heights in June.

Additional workshops on May 15, 4-5:30 and 24, 7-8:30 pm —  for details, go to ArtsArlington.org/haiku
Co-sponsored by the Arlington Commission for Arts & Culture, Arlington Planning and Community Development, Robbins Library, and ACMi. Funded by a grant from the Mass Cultural Council via ACAC Grants Committee.
