Today we bring you an Interpretations of Music: Lessons for Life class featuring the Prelude from Bach's Cello Suite No. 3 in C Major, transcribed for viola and performed by Karlie Roberts, a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra who had just arrived in Boston when this class was filmed. Maestro Zander coaches: "This music is a deep expression of joy and exuberance...There's something wonderful about energy: it's contagious. If you have energy, [the listener] will have energy...There's physical energy, there's emotional energy, and there's spiritual energy. Spiritual energy is about taking people on a journey to a place they've never dreamed of." Enjoy watching the transformation and journey that takes place in this class!
