The Zionist Phantom, A Photographic Tale: Artist Workshop with Prof. Dana Arieli

Presented by Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University at Online/Virtual Space

The Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University invites you to a workshop with Prof. Dana Arieli, the artist behind our first ever virtual art exhibition, The Zionist Phantom http://tiny.cc/zionistphantom. Guided by Prof. Arieli, participants will be invited to select images from the project and to respond to them with their own texts, reflecting their impressions, emotions or memories. The written responses will be added to the exhibition webpage.

In this online exhibition, Dana Arieli, shapes a panoramic view of a landscape defined by its haunting ghosts, missing limbs, what should have been there and will never return. This is Prof. Arieli’s first exhibition in the US, following decades of creating groundbreaking exhibitions in Israel and Europe and mentoring generations of students.

Free and open to all. Registration required. For further information please visit https://www.brandeis.edu/israel-center/events/zionist-phantom.html#workshop.
