Teen cellists age 10-18 sharpen skills through a balance of group work & private lessons, playing and collaborating in a fun, supportive cello collective! Our daily schedule explores topics ranging from technique to sight-reading, learning music by ear, arranging on the cello, planning ahead for junior & senior district requirements, critical listening, and exploring the beautiful world of cello-centric chamber music. This week-long deep-dive into all things cello will culminate in an online concert of chamber music and group-prepared solo repertoire. In addition to 2 hours of daily group instruction, each cellist receives two 30-minute private lessons over the course of the week.
