MMMH 75th Annual Summer Recital Series - Rhonda Sider Edgington

Rhonda Sider Edgington is often commended for her innovative programming, colorful use of registrations, and exciting playing.  She spent seven years studying, working and performing in Bremen, Germany; originally under a Fulbright scholarship.  Edgington has played recitals at Saint Thomas Fifth Avenue in New York City, Arizona State University, and the Cadet Chapel at West Point.  Her major teachers include Harald Vogel, Hans-Ola Ericcsson, John Chappell Stowe, Larry Smith, and Edward Zimmerman.  She has a Master of Music degree in organ from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Music degree in piano from Wheaton College, Illinois and a performance certificate from the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, Germany.  Edgington has performed at national and regional organ conventions of the American Guild of Organists and the Organ Historical Society.  She has taught organ at Concordia University Chicago and Houghton College, New York.  She is an avid collaborative musician, accompanying on organ, piano, and harpsichord, and also plays the carillon.  Rhonda is the Organist and Assistant Music Director at Hope Church, Organ Instructor at Calvin University, Staff Accompanist at Hope College, Dean of the Holland American Guild of Organists Chapter, and maintains an active performing career in this country and Europe.
