A St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn with Brian O’Donovan

A St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn with Brian O’Donovan

Presented by Rockport Music at Shalin Liu Performance Center

GBH’s A St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn with Brian O’Donovan is making its return virtually this year! Since 2004, Brian O’Donovan has delighted audiences with a series of light-hearted and lively concerts dedicated to exploring the various connections of Irish music and culture around the world, and have featured internationally-acclaimed artists from both sides of the Atlantic. But as the pandemic continues, and as with so many long-established traditions around the world, A St. Patrick’s Day Celtic Sojourn will be in a virtual format.

As always, O’Donovan will be the host and will be introducing the artists, chatting about their lives, reciting some of his favorite poetry, and inviting you to raise your voices in a few special and virtual sing-alongs.

Brian notes, “These are tough times for all artists and support folks working in the arts. Essentially, live music is on hold—most concerts and performances are temporarily suspended. Our goal this March will be to create a truly unique experience for you, and importantly, for all of us together. The shows will be built especially for this unique year, and in this unique style, so we hope you can join us.”
