A Lens on Love—James VanDerZee’s Wedding Photography

A Lens on Love—James VanDerZee’s Wedding Photography

Presented by Harvard Art Museums at Harvard Art Museums

American photographer James VanDerZee made a name for himself capturing the lives of fashionable Black New Yorkers from his Harlem studio in the early 20th century. Bring your Valentine along as we turn a lens on love, looking at VanDerZee’s wedding portraits in the Harvard Art Museums collections!
