This February, explore and discover different art mediums. Better understand the abilities and wonders of these materials while finding new ways to manipulate and create with them.
With a focus on a different material each day, February Break at the deCordova provides an invitation to imagine, build, sculpt, and illustrate with unusual and tactile art-making materials. This creative and play based class will be taught by one of our experienced instructors.
On Wednesday, we’ll investigate the uses of paper in our artmaking. We’ll created 2D and 3D art using the familiar material in new and exciting ways!
Each session will include conversations, brainstorms, asking questions and sharing new ideas. We’ll take time to experiment and play, to create collaboratively and individually. We will take movement breaks together and build in a time for a snack.
This interactive workshop is limited to 12 students. Participants will receive the zoom information at least one day before the class.
For grades K-5.
