Make A Plant Stand: A Couples & #Quarantinemates Class

Make A Plant Stand: A Couples & #Quarantinemates Class

Presented by Artisan's Asylum at Artisan's Asylum

This class is an opportunity for couples or housemates to take a break from COVID binge-watching of Netflix and make something elegant and useful in the Artisan’s Asylum’s woodshop. All classes are private experiences for couples.

Under the guidance of instructor Michael Goulde, you will make a sturdy plant stand, 28-inches tall by 16-inches across using your choice of either cherry, maple, or walnut hardwood. The sturdy stand holds one 12-inch pot and one 8 inch pot and will help brighten your home.

Participants will use the table saw, router, router table, drill press and palm sander to create this beautiful stand. You will learn safe woodshop practices and proper machine etiquette as well. You will receive a supply of Wipe-On Poly varnish with instructions on how to apply at home.

Materials Fee

A separate $15 materials fee is due at the start of the class.

COVID-19 UPDATE: The safety of our community, members, and instructors remains our greatest priority. Artisan’s Asylum is closely following the guidelines set by the CDC and Massachusetts.
