Join instructor Emily Belz to learn the settings, considerations, and stylistic choices that go in to making photographs in low light conditions.
This class will be a combination of meetings on Zoom (one session to start the class and one session to finish it) and on-site supported photography sessions (one at the deCordova and one at the Crane Estate).
Topics covered will include: equipment; exposure; manual focusing; RAW vs. Jpeg shooting; and selecting subject matter. For this workshop students will need a DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual capabilities and a tripod. Previous photography experience is necessary.
Teacher Bio: Emily Belz is a photographer and educator based in Lincoln, MA. Her work focuses on domestic still lifes, and reveals a strong affinity for light, space, and color.
