On December 12 at 7:30, soprano Jessica Petrus joins Musicians of the Old Post Road to delight online audiences with an engaging and unique Christmas program, spanning geography and time. The live-streamed concert, entitled Christmas Potpourri will also be available to subscription members for an extended period of time via video link.

Festive seasonal rediscoveries will transport audiences to Mexico, Italy, England, France, and Austria with works by Caccini, Daquin, Charpentier, J.C. Smith, and Leopold Mozart. From French noël settings to Baroque arias, the program has been chosen to spotlight musical treasures sure to uplift the at-home listener.

Culminating in an enthusiastic rendition of Leopold Mozart’s playful and creative musical “Sleigh Ride” and a sing-a-long adventure to the tune of “Deck the Halls,” the evening will feature Suzanne Stumpf on traverso, Sarah Darling and Jesse Irons on violins, Marcia Cassidy on viola, Daniel Ryan, cellist, and Olav Chris Henriksen performing on theorbo and English guittar.
