The film received a Guldbagge Award (the Swedish equivalent of the Academy Awards) for Best Director in 1985 and has been named the best Icelandic film of all time by the Icelandic online newspaper, Kjarninn. This screening features a new, high-quality digital transfer that has not previously been available.
