Maurice Ravel: La Valse

In 2018 the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra performed Ravel's La Valse in Sanders Theatre with Music:Eyes live graphic animation. This animation was designed by Stephen Malinowski and controlled in real time (from the stage!) by Etienne Abelin, with the images projected on a large screen directly above the orchestra. This allows the animation to function as a visual "instrument" in the orchestra, with the animations following the conductor's tempi just as all the other musicians do.
