At-Home Tips for FMM Participation

1) Please gather any instruments you may already have nearby your device that will be used during our class time.
2) If you don't have any instruments, NO PROBLEM.  It is not required to purchase anything!
3) Some alternative instruments that you/caregiver and your child can use for class:

Instead of EGG SHAKERS, use something you may already have in your pantry or spice drawer!  A bottle of Sprinkles or Peppercorns works quite nicely. (Ideally, they would be sealed, but if you tape them shut, there hopefully won't be any sprinkles flying about or on your floor!)
Instead of RHYTHM STICKS, head to the kitchen!  Perhaps 2 wooden spoons or a pair of chopsticks will get you tapping in no time.

4) Jam Time! Each week we also have Jam time. If you happen to have a set of instruments, great..but again if not..no worries! Tupperware containers turned upside down work quite nicely for a drum! Different sized containers also have slightly different pitches or sounds and can be fun to explore as well!  If you have tongs, make them into castanets by clicking them together!  So many Jam time possibilities!
5) A stuffed animal will be used on occasion during some class activities
6) A few scarves, ideally ones that are lighter weight, will sometimes be used during dance or lullaby time.
