CONCORD, MA – The 28th annual Concord Festival of Authors (CFA) goes LIVE online to celebrate the written and spoken word with a global audience. CFA events will take place via Zoom from October 16 to October 31, 2020 after months of collaborative planning with organizations in and beyond Concord.

Select Highlights include:

October 16 Kick-Off - Ruth Ratner Miller Memorial Award for Excellence in American History to Jill Lepore, author, award-winning historian, and writer for The New Yorker

October 23 - MIT professor Helen Elaine Lee introduces CFA Keynote Speaker, award-winning fiction author Jennifer Haigh

Novelists Celeste Ng and Whitney Scharer; “Anti-Racism and Reconstruction, Then and Now” with panelists from The Robbins House; LGBTQ Memoirists, Young Adult and Children’s Authors panels featured by the Concord Free Public Library; “Little Women Page to Screen” with the director of Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House; a 2020 Mass Book Award winners panel; Unboxed, a new play premiere performed live online by The Umbrella Arts Center; writing workshops with Steve Almond, Ron Maclean and Whitney Scharer; and much more!

Presenting partners include Friends of the Be Well Be Here, CFPL Corporation, Concord Bookshop, Concord Free Public Library, Concord Museum, Friends of the CFPL, Orchard House, The Umbrella Arts Center with support of sponsors JW Adams, Wheelhouse at the Bradford Mill, Middlesex Savings Bank, and Debra's Natural Gourmet.
