All Hands Allston is a new community art center coming to 100 Franklin Street in Allston; offering morning toddler classes for youngsters with care-givers, afterschool classes and evening classes for adults.
Veteran wood artist Alice Turkel, of Cambridge, is joined by Aleigha Howland, of Brockton, in opening a new community art and maker center in Allston at the Sculptor\'s Workshop, 100 Franklin Street. At All Hands Allston, Ms. Turkel has constructed a compact woodshop stocked with child-sized tools; hammers and saws, along with kid-friendly furniture. In addition to wood working, Turkel and Howland offer more traditional art classes, including 3-D building and making art books as well as opportunities for families to create classes for themselves and friends. All those classes will also be taught by either Turkel or Howland.
