Virtual Seminar: Jennifer's Body

Virtual Seminar: Jennifer's Body

Presented by Coolidge Corner Theatre at Online/Virtual Space

When a gorgeous cheerleader is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a small Minnesota farming town, her "Plain Jane" best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the satan-worshipping rock band responsible for the horrible transformation.

Jordan Crucchiola is a writer and independent producer living in Los Angeles. A pop culture generalist who finds as much value in works like Pretty Little Liars as she does in the films of artistic titans such as Ingmar Bergman, Jordan has devoted most of her working life — which includes that 13-year stint as a professional journalist at WIRED and New York Magazine — specializing in horror and genre cinema. You may know her from the "55 Essential Queer Horror Films" reference guide or "The 100 Scares That Shaped Horror" on Vulture, or from her passionate advocacy about the need to reappraise the millennium era of horror, which has so much more critical value than its given credit for. She is also, unofficially, America's foremost Jennifer's Body scholar.
