JLive Arts: Make Way For Nancy (And Mia)

JLive Arts: Make Way For Nancy (And Mia)

Presented by Jewish Arts Collaborative at Online/Virtual Space

Nancy Schon is the beloved artist behind the iconic Make Way For Ducklings sculptures in the Boston Public Garden (as well as the Tortoise and Hare in Copley Plaza, Myrtle the Turtle in Beacon Hill, Eeyore and Winnie the Pooh at the Newton Library, and so many more!). Nancy lives and works in a Newton, MA.

Mia Schon is the creator of Mosaic with Mia, through which she creates personalized large-scale mosaic installations and instructs students and communities in the art of mosaic making. Her “we were all refugees once” mosaic in Tel Aviv swept social media. Mia grew up in Newton, MA, and has lived in Tel Aviv for the past 4 years.

JLIve is JArts series of bite-sized events featuring visual artists, musicians, and chefs/food creators. Join us weekly for these intimate and informative looks at the creative process and the arts. All JLive events are free, but registration is required via Zoom.
