Inspired by Penny Siopis’s She Breathes Water video in Indian Ocean Current: Six Artistic Narratives, the McMullen Museum invites children and families for a virtual Zoom workshop to explore the process of making video art with digital cameras and video editing software. Following a virtual dive into the galleries and an introduction to Siopis, part I of this two-part workshop will begin with a tutorial on how to gather videos and splice them together with text and sound. For part II, on November 14, we will regather to share our works of art and discuss them with one another.
