An online screening that focuses on diversity in terms of genre and filmmakers.
The Boston Shorts Fest is a grassroots festival made by David Sabot and Nico Carbini, both students at Emerson College. The original purpose for the event was to raise money for their own film meant to be filmed this summer, but due to complications with COVID 19, it was postponed.
With the current situation and events, both students, one of them now a graduate, are revamping the purpose of the online screening to be a fundraiser geared towards the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. The screening will consist of 13 films made mostly by students in the Boston area with some exceptions. All proceeds will go to NAACP.
