Graphic memoirist and comic, Phoebe Potts debuted her one-woman show to sold-out audiences, now her performance is coming to your screen. A comic look at the agony of adoption, Potts tells the story of the bumpy road to motherhood.
Gloucester-based graphic memoirist and comic, Phoebe Potts debuted her one-woman show Too Fat for China, to sold-out audiences at Gloucester Stage in November 2019. The theater piece is a comedic sequel to her graphic memoir, Good Eggs (Harper, 2010), which charts her travails with infertility. With humor and irreverence, Potts picks up the narrative with Too Fat for China, her quest for an international adoption. Potts tells the story of a road to motherhood that is paved with hope, heartbreak, second mortgages and bottomless questions about race and what makes a family.
