The St. Lawrence String Quartet (SLSQ) is renowned for the intensity of its performances, its breadth of repertoire, and its commitment to concert experiences that are at once intellectually exciting and emotionally alive. Ensemble-in-residence at Stanford since 1998, the SLSQ is hailed by critics as both “modern” and “superb.” The SLSQ’s first performance at RCMF (1996) included Schafer’s Quartet, No. 3, which they bring back for this performance. That performance also included RCMF Artistic Director Barry Shiffman, one of the founding members of the St. Lawrence. Haydn opens and closes the concert in sublime style.
The concert is currently not on sale.
