The House of the Seven Gables (World Premiere)

The House of the Seven Gables (World Premiere)

Presented by Dunstable Theater Collaborative at Dunstable Town Hall

Dunstable Theater Collaborative is proud to present the world premiere of The House of the Seven Gables: A Romance. This great American novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne was adapted for the stage by local Lowell playwright Jack Dacey, and is directed by Jack as well! This performance will be done as a staged reading - customary when work-shopping new works of theatre.

Synopsis: Told through the eyes of the unassuming boarder Jonathan Holgrave, The House of the Seven Gables revolves around a curse set on Colonel Pyncheon in revenge for stealing Matthew Maule's land--and his life. Through a century and a half, the curse affects the members of both families, and is embodied in the big crumbling mansion that is The House of the Seven Gables.
