...that's what she said

...that's what she said

Presented by Lady BOS Productions at Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, Martin Hall

For decades, we have found ourselves at a crossroads for gender equality. Today, social media and current politics have reignited these contentious conversations with fresh vigor. ...that's what she said invites a diverse cohort of femme dancers to mine their personal narratives, histories, and lineages, and to physicalize their experience as feminine beings. Bringing the results of their investigation to the stage, the artists of ...that's what she said defy our societal resistance to gender equality and challenge our societal habit of silencing women while celebrating the unique and dynamic force of the feminine voice. The works presented are both intimate and ubiquitous, reminding us all that at our core, we have much more in common than our divided world would lead us to believe.
