Lee and Nile Albright Annual Symposium – CRISPR: Revolutionizing the Future of Health

Presented by Museum of Science, Boston at Museum of Science, Boston

Genome editing technologies have swept news headlines for their ability to improve human health in revolutionary ways. At the forefront are CRISPR-Cas9-based systems which allow the alteration and editing of human DNA, creating the potential to treat disease at its genetic roots. Dr. Zhang has pioneered the development of Cas9-based technologies and has continued to expand the CRISPR toolbox by adding other systems, including Cas13-based systems that target RNA for therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
