Ellen Schön’s solo exhibition “(Re)Generation” features ceramic totems while Andy Zimmerman’s work explores light in materialism “Sailing to the Edge”.
Boston, MA – Ellen Schön’s solo exhibition (Re)Generation features a new series of ceramic totems. Originally inspired by her daughter’s pregnancy, the series evolved during the artist’s residency at the Guldagergaard International Ceramics Research Center in Skaelskor, Denmark.
In his solo exhibition Sailing to the Edge, Zimmermann explores translucent materials in his sculpture, embracing their subtle ability to filter light and images. His interest in re-using and recycling materials led him to arrive at used, weathered sails as a primary material.
