Join Winchester Community Music School and faculty member Glenn Dickson for a multi-dimensional clarinet concert featuring lush soundscapes and creative live processing. Solo pieces by Stravinsky and others are woven into a dreamy sound journey, a clarinet concert like no other. Using the digital techniques of Robert Fripp and Brian Eno, Dickson creates an ethereal and haunting atmosphere with the warm humanity of the clarinet sound. His compositions and improvisations draw on a career of playing klezmer, classical, Greek, jazz and rock in different settings to create shimmering other-worldly harmonies and speech-like inflections in the melodies.
