A night of jazz standards and originals with Downbeat Magazine “Rising Star – Best Tenor Saxophonist,” Noah Preminger and his quartet, including Julian Shore, piano; Max Ridley, bass; and Jongkuk Kim, drums. Dubbed a “master with standards and ballads, as well as an adventurous composer,” 32-year-old Preminger has recorded over twelve critically acclaimed albums, performed internationally, and recorded with the likes of Dave Holland, John Patitucci, Fred Hersch, Joe Lovano, John and Bucky Pizzarelli, Cecil McBee, and many others.
Mr. Preminger will lead a pre-concert Jazz Improvisation workshop at 4:30 pm.
