Is your ThotBot Glitched? Protect your Value. Take the test. The ThotBot Implantation Center is an immersive and interactive installation paired with an audio/visual concert experience. Multimedia artist Rebecca Kopycinski presents this episode from her sprawling and elaborate dystopian world where The ULTRA government requires all citizens to have a ThotBot brain implant. How else are they going to keep track of your Value? Once patients complete an intake form, they are free to explore the waiting room, where they can watch, read, listen, and explore the contents of the contraband cabinet, that is, items that have been proven to cause ThotBot operating system glitches. After intermission, an a/v concert introduces you to this world's heroine, Reagan Esther Myer, through video of her ThotBot pilot program intake interview.

This project is part of the GAP Space Artist Residency program at Bow Market in Somerville where each month an artist is invited to transform an empty storefront in an effort to Get Artists Paid.
