Community Music Center of Boston and New Gallery Concert Series present a day of workshops, panel discussions, and concerts by and for students, aimed to inspire students to create music of their own.
Community Music Center of Boston and New Gallery Concert Series are proud to present this annual event: A day of workshops, panel discussions, and concerts by and for students from elementary school to adults. This festival is aimed around inspiring students to create music of their own. This year the theme will be highlighting women composers and POC composers.
Students work alongside professional composers and performers to create, perform and enjoy contemporary music. All workshops and events are FREE and open to the public. Students can attend any or all workshops and do not need to study privately at CMCB to participate. Sign-ups are not required!
Young Composers Festival invites students of all ages to experience the art of composition through a number of different workshops all focused around a common theme.
This event is supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Boston Cultural Council.
