Taking Turns, a Puppet Show

Taking Turns, a Puppet Show

Presented by Margaret Moody Puppets and Artbeat at Artbeat Creativity Store and Studio

Mathilda and her best friend Doggie are excited about the bouncy house at their friend’s birthday party and quarrel about who goes next. Imagine Mathilda’s surprise when she sees that grown-ups have trouble taking turns, too. Puppeteer Margaret Moody performs the story with needle-felted animal puppets and gentle humor. Come for the show and stay to play with puppets. Taking Turns is best for ages 4 and up.

Margaret has performed lively hand puppet shows in schools, libraries, community centers and private events for more than 25 years. She studied traditional Taiwanese hand puppetry – Bu Dai Xi – with the I Wan Jan Troupe in Taiwan, and loves to include some of the art’s lively acrobatics in her own stories. This performance is part of Puppet Pop-up, a week of creative puppetry events presented by Artbeat and Margaret Moody Puppets.
