On February 6th - 8th, 2020, The Boston Conservatory at Berklee will present Re : Member in the Zack Box Theatre: 8 the Fenway, Boston, MA. Re : Member premieres new works created by Corinne
Justine and Avery Gerhardt, two distinct emerging choreographers. With striking performances by India Hobbs, Talia Stern, Tshedzom Tingkhye, and Corinne Justine, the two artists invite viewers into a
world of sentiment as they play between the manic and sane, mundane and catastrophic, characteristics of the human being. An unrivaled collaboration of voices, Re : Member fuses the experiences
of its dancers, composers, cinematographers, choreographers, dramaturges, and audience members in an attempt to blur the boundaries of the theatre and connect individuals in a new way.

Corinne Justine’s FLUX is an innocent story: one that interweaves the complex feelings and emotions of everyday life. Centered around six specific categories of human experience, Corinne invites
audiences to connect to her work in a unique way. An ability to pose questions, offer space to be vulnerable, and bring people together is what sets FLUX apart from any other collaboration.
Performing her own piece, Corinne will be dancing solo to an original composition by Ryland Holland and using the cinematography skills of Brain Bode to illustrate the deeply connected experiences of these three artists with the sensations of love, freedom, ignorance, manipulation, fear, and frustration.

Avery Gerhardt’s 1134: A Study on Loadbearing is a physical theatre duet created on the basis of the ecofeminist principles published by Maria Mies and Vandana Shiva. Influenced heavily by these two
scholars, Avery experiments with 1134 as a way to study the extent to which exploitation of women and exploitation of nature, by male-dominating societies, are connected. The piece exists as a metaphor, sharing the story of two sisters faced with their own internal conflict, in efforts to represent a specific event in history that changed the course of feminist and ecological concern on a global scale. With the assistance of Dylan Contreres as dramaturg, Kevin Lau as rehearsal director, and performers Talia Stern and Tshedzom Tingkhye, 1134: A Study on Loadbearing is brought to life with a rigorous energy that emulates that of the Ecofeminism movement in hopes to further the conversation around the subject.
