The Boston Sculptors Gallery presents RING, our annual members group exhibition. “Always a crowd pleaser, this year’s theme circles around the concept of ‘ring,’” explains Director Almitra Stanley. “Featuring the diverse talents of our 36 sculptors, the exhibition offers innovative, engaging and affordable work in myriad styles and media.

A ring is an abstraction, a circle, the most quintessential archetypal form. Yet its connotations are as profound as geometry, metaphysics, and infinity, while simultaneously as mundane as a gasket, a hula-hoop, or a donut. A ring can be as ethereal and evanescent as a plume of smoke or expanding rings of water, or as concrete as millstone.
