Dan Flonta - Violin - A native of Romania, Dan Flonta won an honorable mention at the George Georgescu International Violin Competition in Tulcea, Romania as well as a place at the prestigious Bach Academy Festival in Stuttgart, Germany under the artistic direction of Maestro Helmuth Rilling. In addition, Dan was appointed Concert Master and Principal second Violin at several orchestras in Romania, Italy, Spain, Germany and the United States. His teaching experience is vast and it includes positions with the Bowling Green State University in Ohio, Academy of Saint Joseph in Manhattan and the New York Conservatory of Music in Manhattan. Dan now lives on Cape Cod with his family, and is a very active member of the performing arts community on Cape Cod. He is the founder and first violinist of the Cape Cod String Quartet, regularly performs with the Cape Symphony, Falmouth Chamber Players and the Plymouth Philharmonic. He has a private violin studio as well as being on the Faculty of the Cape Conservatory and Sturgis Charter School. Dan earned his Master of Music in Violin Performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from The Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He has performed extensively throughout Europe and North America. Some of the venues include The Berliner Philharmoniker Concert Hall and Chamber Music Hall, The Herodes Atticus Theater in Athens, Greece, The Norwalk Concert Hall, Troy Music Hall and the EMPAC Center in Troy, New York.

Dan performs solo and chamber music concerts throughout the year on his instrument of choice made by luthier Ray Melanson, who won a Gold Medal for tone at the 2012 Art of Sound International Competition. The violin is based on a Giuseppe Guarneri del Jesu violin made in 1742.

Yoko Furihata Waynen - Violin - Yoko Waynen began studying violin at the age of 3 at the original Suzuki school in Nagano Japan and proud to have received pointers from Dr. Shinichi Suzuki himself. She earned her Bachelors in Music from Soai University in Osaka, Japan and later continued her violin studies at the University of Wyoming, where she was a finalist in U.W.'s Concerto Competition, performing Sibelius' Violin Concerto. From there, she continued violin studies at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. receiving master classes from some prominent players such as Joseph Silverstein.

After moving to Cape Cod, she joined the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra & The Simon Sinfonietta, where she enjoyed 10 years performing classical, pops, and holiday concerts for audiences of all ages. Yoko is currently a faculty member at the Cape Cod Conservatory and also gives private lessons at her music studio in West Barnstable.

Bo Ericsson - Cello - Mr. Ericsson, a native of Skövde, Sweden, graduated from Gothenborg Conservatory of Music and the Swedish Radio School of Music in Stockholm where he studied with Erling Bengtsson. Further studies included Anthony Pini and William Pleeth in London and the Amadeus String Quartet in Cologne, Germany. Mr. Ericsson has performed with the Gothenburg Symphony, Swedish Radio Orchestra, Uppsala Chamber Soloists and served for six years as the principal cellist with the Bergen (Norway) Philharmonic.  A founding member of the Berwald String Quartet, he toured all over Europe with that group in performances that included the premiere works of many of the Continent’s top composers.  Mr. Ericsson held the position as principal cellist with the Cape Symphony  from 2000 – 2017, and is an active and much sought-after performer of chamber music, including his work with his wife, Liz, in the Schultze-Ericsson Cello Duo.  Mr. Ericsson and Ms. Schultze live in East Orleans where he operates a workshop repairing violins and cellos.

Lilit Muradyan - Viola -  Dr. Lilit Muradyan, originally from Armenia, began playing violin at the age of 8 at the Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in Yerevan. Subsequently, she completed her Bachelor of Music at the Yerevan State Conservatory and moved to the US to continue her studies at Miami University of Ohio, with Mary E. M. Harris. She also holds a DMA from Boston University where she studied under the guidance of Michelle LaCourse. She has participated extensively in orchestral tours throughout Armenia, Canada, Germany, Luxemburg and Austria. She has performed in master classes with such accomplished musicians as Donald McInnes, Terence Helmer and Jeffrey Irvine. As a versatile orchestra and chamber musician Lilit has performed regularly with the Cape Symphony, New Bedford Symphony, Plymouth Philharmonic, Boston Modern Orchestra Project and many others. Her recent collaborations include Andrea Bocelli, Placido Domingo, Heather Headley, “Game of Thrones” and The Who.

Lilit resides in Greater Boston with her husband, French horn player Neil Godwin and their son Vardan.
