The Amazing World of Birds-of-Paradise: Stone Memorial Lecture Special Event

The Amazing World of Birds-of-Paradise: Stone Memorial Lecture Special Event

Presented by Mass Audubon's Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary at Mass Audubon Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary

Over the past 15 years, and with over 30 trips to New Guinea, photographer Tim Laman has pursued his passion for the Birds-of-Paradise. These birds are arguably the world's most spectacular, with often elaborate colors, patterns and mating displays. Through Tim's work with National Geographic, the Birds-of-Paradise Project at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and other projects, images and videos of these relatively poorly known animals have been seen by people around the world. Each year, Tim returns to continue his explorations of the mountains and islands of the New Guinea region to document this remarkable family of birds, including the recently discovered Vogelkop Superb Bird of Paradise. Join us for images and stories about Tim's experiences with these amazing animals.

This program will be held at the Natick Center for the Arts (TCAN) 14 Summer Street, Natick
